Two women connected to fugitive suspect Victor Malima were brought before the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court on Monday as investigations into the NAMCOR corruption scandal continue to widen.
The accused, identified as Malima’s mother, Martha Ndinelao Antindi (56), and his aunt, Johanna Hambelela Mundjego (33), are alleged to have been implicated through suspicious financial transactions linked to the ongoing probe. Mundjego is also believed to have previously worked as Malima’s secretary.
According to court proceedings, the pair is facing three serious charges, including dealing with or concealing gratification, money laundering, and theft. Prosecutors allege that the offences are connected to the alleged misappropriation of funds tied to the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR).
Both accused made their first court appearance following their arrest and were informed of the charges against them. No plea was entered at this stage.
The case was postponed to 28 February 2026 to allow for further investigations and legal preparations. The two remain in the custody of the authorities pending the next court date.
