Woman Dies After Surviving First Suicide Attempt

A tragic incident has shaken the Macguva village community in Mashare Constituency after a 45-year-old woman, identified as Masiyange Klaudia Shikongo, was found dead on Monday night in what police have confirmed as suicide.
Authorities revealed that the woman had earlier attempted to end her life earlier the same day but was stopped by relatives, who managed to intervene in time. Despite the family’s efforts, Shikongo later repeated the attempt, with the fatal incident occurring around 23:00 at her home.
Police say no suicide note was discovered at the scene, and preliminary investigations show no signs of foul play. Her next of kin have been notified.
The investigation continues as officers work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
