South African President His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa has called on Namibian investors to partner with South Africa to advance economic growth, create jobs, and strengthen regional integration, saying the current generation has a responsibility to secure economic freedom.

Ramaphosa said while previous generations secured political freedom through the struggle against apartheid, today’s leaders, businesses, and citizens must focus on building inclusive economies that create opportunities for all.

He noted that Namibia and South Africa share a history of apartheid and must now work together to ensure economic development benefits the majority of their people.

The President said youth unemployment remains a major concern for both countries and stressed that creating jobs is a priority in his discussions with Namibian President Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

“We owe it to our young people to create jobs that restore hope and dignity,” Ramaphosa said.
He also called for stronger regional integration, urging the private sector to forge meaningful partnerships that will make Southern Africa more competitive and prosperous.

Ramaphosa encouraged delegates to ensure the business forum is remembered not for the speeches delivered, but for the investment partnerships and practical outcomes achieved.
