A massive wave of support swept through the town of Eenhana this past weekend as a local school secured a brighter future for its students. During a special fundraising dinner, the community and local leaders joined forces to raise a total of N$1.6 million for Oshikunde Combined School.

The event focused on giving students in the Oshikunde Constituency better tools to succeed in a modern world. The school plans to use this money to buy a brand-new bus so that children have a safe way to get to their school events. Additionally, a large part of the funds will be spent on digital learning tools like computers and other technology. These upgrades will help the students keep up with the latest educational standards and improve how they learn every day.

A major highlight of the night was the contribution from Usko Nghaamwa, the former Governor of Ohangwena and a well-known businessman. As the official patron of the school, he showed his dedication to the youth by donating N$200,000. His large contribution encouraged many others in the room to give generously, leading to the impressive final total.

This successful evening proves how much the community values education. By working together, the parents, leaders, and business people have ensured that the learners at Oshikunde Combined School will no longer have to struggle with transport or lack of technology. Instead, the school is now ready to enter a new era of growth and success.
