Construction Worker Dies After Bee Swarm Attack Near Katere Village

A 38-year-old construction worker died after he was reportedly attacked by a swarm of bees near Katere village in the Ndiyona Constituency on Monday.

According to Kavango East Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu, the deceased was employed by a construction company involved in the upgrading of the B8 road along the Trans-Caprivi Highway.

Kanyetu said the man was operating a compactor at the construction site when he was attacked by the bees. He allegedly succumbed to the attack at the scene.

The body was transported to the Nyangana State Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
