Keetmanshoop SUPERSPAR workers thank Amushelelo after receiving salaries
Keetmanshoop SUPERSPAR workers have expressed their appreciation to activist Michael Amushelelo after receiving their full salaries, according to a letter seen by The Updated World through Amushelelo’s WhatsApp channel and Facebook page.
In the letter, the workers thanked Amushelelo for his intervention, support, and willingness to stand up for workers’ rights, saying his efforts brought relief to employees and their families.
The workers stated that all employees received their full salaries on 23 July 2026, describing the payment as a relief for many families who depend on their monthly income.
They also extended their gratitude to members of the public across Namibia who supported their situation and stood in solidarity with them, saying the support showed that unity can help bring about positive change.
The workers further requested Amushelelo to share their message of appreciation publicly so that they could thank him and others who supported them.
The message concluded with a Bible verse from Proverbs 31:8-9: “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the workers.”
