National Assembly To Resume Fourth Session On 1 September
The National Assembly will resume sittings for the Fourth Session of the Eighth Parliament on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, with proceedings scheduled to begin at 14:30.
The sitting is expected to focus on continued legislative deliberations, with Members of Parliament set to resume debate on the Second Reading of six Bills.
The Bills on the agenda include the Land Bill, Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Amendment Bill, Regional Councils Amendment Bill, Public Enterprises Governance Amendment Bill, Income Tax Amendment Bill, and the Accountants and Auditors Regulatory Authority Bill.
Members will also consider several reports and debate a number of motions tabled before the House.
The resumption of Parliament comes as lawmakers continue their legislative, oversight and representative responsibilities during the current parliamentary session.
