Otamanzi Circuit honours top learners, teachers and education partners
The Otamanzi Circuit has celebrated academic achievement and dedication through its annual awards ceremony, recognising learners, teachers, parents and stakeholders who continue to contribute towards improving education outcomes.
Held under the theme “Celebrating Excellence, Inspiring Tomorrow,” the event brought together education stakeholders to honour learners who demonstrated commitment, hard work and outstanding performance throughout the academic year.
Etilyasa Primary School principal Salom Kangulu said recognising achievements plays an important role in motivating learners to continue working towards their goals.
Kangulu said the awards ceremony was not only about academic results but also about celebrating discipline, perseverance and the collective efforts of teachers, parents and communities in supporting learners.“Today we honour learners whose dedication and perseverance have produced outstanding results,” said Kangulu.
The chairperson of the Otamanzi Circuit academic committee congratulated award recipients and encouraged them to remain focused on their education journey, saying receiving an award should serve as motivation to work even harder.
She also reminded learners who did not receive awards that success requires patience, commitment and determination.“Do not be discouraged. Your journey is still continuing. Keep working hard, believe in yourself and never give up,” she said.
The ceremony also recognised the role played by teachers, with officials praising educators for their continued commitment to guiding and supporting learners beyond the classroom.Parents, guardians, stakeholders and development partners were also acknowledged for their contribution towards creating a supportive learning environment.
Education leaders called for continued teamwork among schools, parents and communities to build a culture of excellence across the Otamanzi Circuit.They said through discipline, accountability and cooperation, more learners can be empowered to achieve their academic goals and contribute positively to society.
