Police seek public’s help to trace missing Swakopmund man
The Namibian Police have appealed to the public for assistance in locating 29 year old Hitukwa Rafael Wakolele, who was reported missing after leaving his home in Ocean View, Swakopmund, over the weekend.
According to police, Wakolele was last seen on Saturday, 25 July, at around 13:43 after taking his mother’s red Jetour, registration number N555RC, to a car wash in Mondesa.
He never returned home. Police said Wakolele continued sending text messages to his mother, assuring her that the vehicle was safe and that he would return soon.
However, he reportedly did not answer any of her phone calls, while his cellphone has since been switched on and off without responding to calls.
He is described as being about 1.75 metres tall, with a slender build and a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a Red Bulls hoodie, a white floppy hat and a white tracksuit.
Anyone with information that could assist in locating Wakolele is urged to contact Detective Senior Inspector Rose Tjihavero on 081 413 7105 or report it to the nearest police station.
Police investigations into his disappearance are ongoing.
