Steenkamp Highlights Namibia-China Education Cooperation During State Visit
Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture Sanet Steenkamp is in the China as part of the official delegation accompanying President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on her State Visit.
During the visit, Steenkamp participated in the China–Namibia Education and Innovation Cooperation Seminar, where she delivered a keynote address focused on strengthening collaboration between the two countries in education, innovation, research and skills development.
She reaffirmed Namibia’s commitment to expanding bilateral partnerships with China, particularly in areas aimed at improving education outcomes and developing critical skills for the future.
Steenkamp emphasised that investing in basic education remains a key priority for Namibia, saying a strong foundation in education is essential for creating a knowledgeable, skilled, innovative and productive society.
