58-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Apparent Suicide at Walvis Bay Informal Settlement

A 58-year-old man, identified as Linus Shilongo, was found dead on Sunday in what police suspect to be a case of suicide.
According to the Erongo police, the incident occurred at a shack located near !Nara Primary School in an informal settlement in Walvis Bay. The body was discovered at around 11:00 when the shack owner who does not reside on the premises came by to drop off food for a dog kept on the property.

No suicide note was left behind, and the motive remains unknown.
Police confirmed that Shilongo’s next of kin have been informed, and his body has been transported to the Walvis Bay Police Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
