Body of 18-Year-Old Drowning Victim Recovered from Kavango River, City l

Authorities in Rundu have confirmed the recovery of the body of 18-year-old Domingo Chingi, who drowned while swimming with friends at Sauyemwa on Sunday. His remains were retrieved this afternoon from the Kavango River in the Kavango East Region.

According to police reports, Chingi was in the company of friends when the tragic incident occurred. Despite their efforts to rescue him, he disappeared beneath the water and could not be saved.

Family members gathered at the riverbank during the recovery operation and later identified the body, bringing an emotional close to the search.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the full circumstances surrounding the drowning.
