Decomposed Body of Adult Man Discovered on Farm Outside Okahandja

A decomposed body of an adult man was discovered on Elisabeth Hill Farm along the old Omaruru Road, approximately nine kilometres outside Okahandja, on Thursday afternoon.
Otjozondjupa Police spokesperson and community liaison officer, Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, said the body was found by a member of the public who had gone into the nearby bushes to look for mushrooms. During the search, the passer-by came across the remains and realised it was a human body.
The discovery was immediately reported to the police, who attended the scene and confirmed the deceased to be an adult male.
At this stage, the cause and circumstances of the death remain unclear. The body was removed and taken to the Windhoek Police Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death. The identity of the deceased and next of kin have not yet been established, and police investigations continue.
