Erongo Retains Top Spot as Regional Councils Recognised for Customer Service Excellence

Erongo Region after winning top customer service excellence at African Public Service Day celebrations held in Swakopmund

The top-performing regional councils in the implementation of Namibia’s Customer Service Charter were recognised during the African Public Service Day celebrations held in Swakopmund on Thursday, with six regions honoured for their commitment to improving public service delivery.

The Erongo Regional Council claimed 1st position for the third consecutive year, maintaining its status as the country’s best-performing regional council in implementing the Customer Service Charter.

The Oshana Regional Council secured 2nd position, while the Oshikoto Regional Council finished in 3rd position. Both councils received trophies in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Youngest region in Namibia, Kavango West Regional Council was ranked 4th, earning a certificate for its continued efforts to enhance customer service and improve the quality of services provided to the public.

The Zambezi Regional Council was recognised in 5th position, while the Omusati Regional Council completed the top six in 6th position. Both councils were awarded certificates for their commitment to implementing the Customer Service Charter.

The awards, presented as part of the African Public Service Day celebrations, recognise regional councils that have demonstrated excellence, accountability and a strong commitment to providing efficient, responsive and citizen-centred public services across Namibia.
