Man Dies After Lightning Strike in Keetmanshoop

The Namibian Police have confirmed the death of a 57-year-old man in Keetmanshoop on Friday afternoon following a lightning strike.
According to police reports, Charles Henry Gaweseb was reportedly walking with his daughter and three dogs when he was struck during a sudden storm.

Emergency services rushed him to hospital, but he was declared dead upon arrival.
Authorities have urged the public to take extra precautions during thunderstorms, especially in open areas where lightning strikes are more likely to occur.
