Ministry of ICT Announces the Appointment of Ms. Linda Nakale

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) has announced the appointment of Ms. Linda Nakale (née Aipinge) as its new Executive Director and Accounting Officer.
The appointment was approved by the Prime Minister on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission, in line with Section 5(1) read together with Section 19A(1) of the Public Service Act, 1995 (Act 13 of 1995). Ms. Nakale will assume her new role on 1 January 2026, serving a five-year contract.
Before this appointment, Ms. Nakale served as the Director of Information and Communication Technology Development at the same ministry from 1 June 2016. She joined the Namibian Public Service in January 2000 and has held various positions, including Assistant Human Resources Practitioner, Human Resources Practitioner, Efficiency Analyst, Chief Efficiency Analyst, and Deputy Director.
Ms. Nakale holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership Development in ICTs and the Knowledge Society from the University of Mauritius, a Graduate Diploma in the same field from Dublin City University, a B-Degree in Public Management from the University of South Africa, and a Diploma in Public Administration from the then Polytechnic of Namibia.
The ministry welcomed her appointment, highlighting her extensive experience and contribution to Namibia’s ICT development.
