Missing Teacher Found Safe in Rundu After Five Months

A woman who vanished five months ago has been safely reunited with her family in the Kavango East Region.
Cricentia Mbambo, a 37-year-old teacher, was found in Rundu on Tuesday evening after relatives received a tip-off from a woman who came forward with information about her whereabouts.
Mbambo was reported to have left home five months ago, telling her family she was travelling to Rundu. She never made further contact, and her prolonged silence raised concerns. Her family only opened a missing person case last week after months of uncertainty.
According to relatives, Mbambo had also been absent from school during this period, and her colleagues and community members had no knowledge of her location.
The family has chosen not to reveal where she was found or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, but confirmed that she is safe and currently being taken to hospital for medical assessment.
Authorities have not released additional details at this stage.
