Mother and Daughter Assaulted in Christmas Day at Ncamagoro Village

Christmas day turned tragic for a mother and her daughter who were assaulted during the early hours of the day in Ncamagoro Village, Kavango West Region.

According to Kavango West Police Regional Commander, Commissioner Julia Sakuwa-Neo, a 31-year-old man broke into the home of a 45-year-old woman and her 20-year-old daughter at around 01:00 on Christmas morning. The victims were asleep when the suspect launched his attack.

Armed with a knife, the intruder raped the mother and assaulted the daughter before robbing them of N$4,900 and a mobile phone.

The swift response by law enforcement led to the arrest of the suspect, and the stolen items, including the cash and phone, were successfully recovered.
