National Assembly Goes on Break Until Next Tuesday Following Motion Calling for the Removal of Speaker

The National Assembly has gone on a short break following a motion calling for the removal of Speaker Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila.
The motion was brought by IPC MP Michael Mulunga during a tense sitting on Wednesday but was not dealt with after the Speaker said she could not rule on a matter involving herself.

Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare later announced that the House would return next Tuesday instead of sitting on Thursday as initially expected.
