Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah Named African Political Leader of the Year 2025

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has been awarded the African Political Leader of the Year 2025 title by African Leadership Magazine (ALM), a London-based publication that annually recognises influential figures across the continent.
The magazine also honoured other key leaders, including South Africa’s Chief Justice Mandisa Maya, who was named African Women Leader of the Year, and Namibia’s Minister of Health and Social Services Dr. Esperance Luvindao, who received the accolade of African Public Health Champion of the Year.
According to ALM publisher Dr. Ken Giami, the awards highlight the importance of celebrating African achievements and elevating the stories of leaders contributing to the continent’s progress.
All winners will be formally recognised at the official awards ceremony scheduled for 27 and 28 February 2026 in Accra, Ghana.
