In an effort to improve learning and teaching in the region, three schools in Kavango East have received new laptops and printers worth N$45,000. The donation comes through a partnership between the Governor’s Office and Reransingwe Fishing.

The schools benefiting from the initiative are Jafet Haiyambo Primary School, Sarasungu Combined School, and Ruben Makaranga Combined School. These schools were randomly selected, and each received one laptop and one printer to support both teaching and administrative tasks.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Kavango East Governor Hambyuka Hamunyera said the donation aims to make teaching and school administration easier, while also helping students access more learning resources.

“Technology has become an important part of education. By providing these laptops and printers, we want to support teachers, help students learn better, and make school management more efficient,” Governor Hamunyera said.

Representatives from the schools expressed their gratitude, noting that access to computers and printers is often limited, especially in rural areas. They said the new equipment will make a real difference in classrooms and for school administration.
