Oshakati Court Denies Bail to Man Accused of Killing Grandmother

A 39-year-old man, Alfred Thomas, also known as “Kabila”, will remain in custody after the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court refused his bail application on Monday.

Thomas stands accused of fatally attacking his grandmother in her bedroom at Ondiamande village in the Oshana Region on Friday, a case that has shocked the local community.

The court heard the bail application but ruled against his release, ordering that he remain detained as the matter proceeds.

The case has been postponed to 06 October this year for further investigation and continuation of proceedings.
