Police Seek Identity of Man Found Dead at Kuisebmond Primary School

A man believed to be in his early 30s was found dead at a primary school in Kuisebmond on Monday morning in what police suspect may be a suicide.

According to a police report, the discovery was made at around 07h00 when a security officer who was on night duty noticed a man standing near a small gate at the school premises. The officer became concerned after observing that something appeared unusual and sought assistance from people passing by.

Upon closer examination, the man was found to be deceased, prompting the immediate notification of the Namibian Police.

Police said the deceased has not yet been identified as he was not carrying any identification documents. He was wearing a black hoodie, green jacket, black trousers and black tekkies at the time of the incident.

Investigators reported that no suicide note was found at the scene. The only item recovered from the man’s pocket was a set of keys.

The Namibian Police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the deceased. Anyone who may recognise the description or has information about a missing relative or friend is requested to contact Detective Warrant Officer Naftal Mwatile on 081 290 2660 or visit the nearest police station.
