Two Men Found Hanging in Separate Incidents in Kamanjab and Tsumeb

Police are investigating two separate suspected suicide cases reported over the weekend in the Kamanjab and Tsumeb areas.
In the first incident, the body of 48-year-old Salaria Kstana was discovered hanging from a mopane tree at Farm Okarukoro in the Kamanjab district on Friday. According to information contained in the police weekend crime report, the discovery followed an alleged argument between the deceased and his daughter earlier that day.
It is alleged that the daughter had also attempted to take her own life during the altercation but was reportedly rescued by family members. Authorities say no foul play is suspected in Kstana’s death at this stage. His next of kin have been informed, and investigations are ongoing.
In a separate case in the Kuvukiland area of Tsumeb, the body of 45-year-old Nghende Festus was found hanging from a tree in nearby bushes. The grim discovery was reportedly made by a passerby.
Police indicated that no signs of foul play have been detected in the Tsumeb incident. The deceased’s relatives have been notified, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death continue.
