Two Women Attacked by Crocodiles in Two Days in Kavango East

A 21-year-old woman from Shadipwera village in the Mukwe Constituency was seriously injured by a crocodile on 20 November.

According to source, Sarafina Thitiro was fetching water at the river when the crocodile attacked her. She suffered deep wounds on her hand and leg. People nearby helped her, and she was quickly taken to Rundu Intermediate Hospital for treatment.

This incident happened just a day after another attack at Thipanana village. A 47-year-old woman, Ottilia Mbathera, was killed by a crocodile there.

Her body has not yet been found. Police and officials from the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism are still searching the area.
