WATCH: Kavango Concerned Group Accuses SWAPO SG of Influencing National Council Selection

The Kavango Concerned Group has raised serious concerns over what they describe as an unfair and non-transparent selection process for the National Council representatives from the Kavango East Region.
According to the group, the exclusion of Paulus Nginga Mbangu is only one part of the problem. They claim that the overall selection lacked transparency and may have violated constitutional principles.
The group further alleges that the process was influenced by SWAPO Party Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa, a figure they say is not part of the community whose votes determined the regional councillors. They argue that such involvement undermines the democratic will of the people.
The demonstrators insist that the voices of local voters must be respected and that the selection process should reflect the choice of the community, not external influence.
