Goal-kick countdown (five seconds):
The same time restriction applies to goal-kicks. Teams attempting to waste time risk conceding a corner kick if they fail to restart play promptly.
Time-limited substitutions (10 seconds):
Players being substituted must leave the pitch within 10 seconds at the nearest point. Failure to do so will prevent the substitute from entering for at least one minute, forcing the team to continue temporarily with 10 players.
Off-field treatment (one minute):
Outfield players who receive medical attention will be required to remain off the field for a minimum of 60 seconds before returning. Exceptions apply in cases such as serious injuries, goalkeeper treatment, or when disciplinary action is taken against an opponent.
Strict stance on player conduct:
Players who cover their mouths during confrontational situations with opponents may face serious disciplinary action, including a red card, if deemed to be acting inappropriately.
VAR checks on corners:
Video Assistant Referees will be permitted to review whether a corner kick has been correctly awarded. These checks must be completed quickly and before the match restarts.
Second yellow card reviews:
Players sent off after receiving a second yellow card may have the second caution reviewed by VAR. However, incidents that could lead to a second yellow will not be reviewed before the decision is made on the field.
