Athletic Club Football Academy and African Stars FC Send Academies for Mad Cup 2026 in Madrid
Youth football in Namibia is set for another international spotlight as Athletic Club Football Academy and African Stars FC prepare to send their academy teams to Spain for the Mad Cup 2026 in Madrid.
Athletic Club Football Academy will travel with a strong delegation of 50 young players and eight officials, representing its Under-12, Under-14, and Under-15 sides at the prestigious youth tournament as reported by The Namibian.
The Windhoek-based academy is set to depart Namibia on 17 June, with several parents also expected to accompany the group to support their children during the international trip.
African Stars FC youth academy will also be part of the tournament, with their squad scheduled to depart tomorrow, 11 June 2026, as they join other global academies competing on the international stage in Madrid.
The competition is scheduled to take place from 18 to 25 June 2026 and is expected to feature more than 800 teams from across the globe, making it one of the biggest youth football events in the world.
