Al-Nassr Reach King’s Cup Round of 16 as Cristiano Ronaldo rested

Al-Nassr progressed to the Round of 16 of the Saudi King’s Cup after beating Al-Diriyah 4–1 on Tuesday, with Cristiano Ronaldo rested for the cup encounter.
Ronaldo was left out of the matchday action as Al-Nassr continued their campaign without their Portuguese superstar. His absence came after the forward had only recently returned to training following his summer commitments.
Despite starting without Ronaldo, Al-Nassr recovered from an early setback to produce an impressive attacking display.
Al-Diriyah took the lead through Óscar Rodríguez, but Al-Nassr quickly responded through Mohamed Simakan before João Félix put the visitors ahead.
Abdullah Al-Hamdan added a third before half-time, while Félix completed his brace in the second half to seal a convincing victory.
The result sends Al-Nassr into the Round of 16, while Ronaldo was able to continue his recovery and preparation for the club’s upcoming fixtures.
