Black Africa FC Hit the Bottom following 8:0 humiliation

Once regarded as the powerhouse of Namibian football, Black Africa SC have officially fallen to the Khomas Third Division following a humiliating 8-0 defeat to Patriots FC on Sunday.
The heavy loss confirmed Black Africa’s relegation from the NFA Southern Stream First Division at the conclusion of the 2024/2025 football season, marking another painful chapter for one of the country’s most decorated football institutions.
Black Africa remain the most successful club in Namibian football history, having won the Namibia Premier League title a record 10 times. The club also built a strong reputation over the years by producing some of the country’s finest football talents and dominating domestic football for decades.
However, the once-feared giant has experienced a dramatic decline in recent seasons, with relegation now seeing the club drop into the Khomas Third Division.
Meanwhile, Windhoek United also suffered relegation after going down 4-2 against Riverheights FA in their Round 21 encounter on Sunday.
The latest results officially ended Windhoek United’s hopes of survival, as both clubs failed to collect enough points to remain in the Southern Stream First Division.
The relegation of Black Africa has sent shockwaves through the local football community, with many supporters describing it as one of the saddest moments in Namibian football history.
