Brobbey and Gakpo Score Braces as Netherlands Hammer Sweden 5-1

Brian Brobbey and Cody Gakpo both struck twice as the Netherlands eased to a convincing 5-1 victory over Sweden in a one-sided encounter.
The Dutch were ahead inside five minutes when Brobbey finished from Cody Gakpo’s pass to give the hosts an early advantage. Brobbey grabbed his second in the 17th minute, converting Denzel Dumfries’ assist to put the Netherlands firmly in control before halftime.
The Oranje wasted little time after the restart, with Gakpo getting on the scoresheet two minutes into the second half after being picked out by Dumfries. The Liverpool forward added his second seven minutes later, turning in Crysencio Summerville’s cross to make it 4-0.
Sweden pulled one back in the 59th minute when Anthony Elanga finished from Alexander Isak’s assist, but the visitors never threatened a comeback.
Substitute Summerville put the icing on the cake with a late goal, finishing off a pass from Memphis Depay in the 89th minute to complete a dominant Dutch display.
Brobbey and Gakpo led the charge with two goals apiece, while Dumfries contributed two assists in an impressive all-round performance from the Netherlands.

Despite sharing top scorer honours with Brobbey, Gakpo was named Man of the Match after also providing an assist and recording five shots, four of them on target, as the Dutch ran riot against Sweden.
