Dembélé Becomes the third Player to Score a Hat-Trick at the 2026 FIFA World Cup

France delivered a dominant performance to defeat Norway 4-1 in their final Group I match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Ousmane Dembélé stealing the headlines through a brilliant first-half hat-trick.
Dembélé opened the scoring in the 7th minute after being set up by Kylian Mbappé, before doubling his tally in the 20th minute from another Mbappé assist. Norway briefly responded through Thelo Aasgaard in the 21st minute, assisted by Andreas Schjelderup, but France quickly regained control.
The winger completed his hat-trick in the 32nd minute, finishing a move created by Aurélien Tchouaméni to restore France’s advantage and underline their attacking dominance.
France controlled the match in the second half and sealed the victory deep into stoppage time when Désiré Doué scored in the 90+4th minute, assisted by Bradley Barcola.
Dembélé became the third player to score a hat-trick in the 2026 World Cup, following, Jonathan David, and Lionel Messi’s earlier treble in the tournament.
With both France and Norway already assured of progression, the result confirmed France as group winners while Norway advanced as runners-up in Group I.
