Gerson Kangumbe Earns U20 National Team Call-Up
KK United FC forward Gerson Kangumbe has earned a place in Namibia’s provisional U20 squad for the upcoming COSAFA tournament, continuing his national team journey after previously representing Namibia at U17 level.
Kangumbe is the second player from Kavango West named in the provisional squad, joining Hausiku Kamanya of Young Western Fighters FC.
The young forward enjoyed an impressive season with KK United FC, helping the club win the North East First Division and secure promotion to the Namibia Premier Football League.
His performances were also recognised at club level, with Kangumbe named Young Player of the Season at the KK United FC Players’ Awards.
The U20 call-up adds another milestone to a breakthrough season and further highlights Kangumbe as one of the promising young talents emerging from Kavango West.
