Kanalelo departs FC Ongos after steering club to top-four finish

FC Ongos have confirmed the departure of head coach Ronny Kanalelo, bringing an end to his short but impactful spell in charge of the senior men’s team.
Kanalelo stepped down from his position with immediate effect after joining the club midway through the season following his resignation from Bucks Buccaneers FC.
During his time at FC Ongos, Kanalelo helped guide the team to a top-four finish in the league and played a key role in their run to the semi-finals of the Standard Bank Top 8 Cup.
The club described Kanalelo’s contribution as valuable, praising his dedication, leadership and commitment to both the technical team and the players during his tenure.
“During his tenure at the helm of the first team, Mr. Kanalelo conducted his duties with notable dedication. The club acknowledges his contributions and the steady leadership he provided to both the technical staff and the playing squad during his time with us,” FC Ongos said in a statement.
The club expressed its gratitude to Kanalelo for his service and wished him well in his future coaching endeavours.
