The Kavango West Football Association (KWFA) has penalized KCR Western Star FC for fielding an ineligible player in their Round 13 fixture against YW Fighters FC.

The match, played on April 26, 2026 at Tondoro Village, originally ended in a 5–1 victory for KCR Western Star FC. However, following a formal protest by YW Fighters FC, a league review confirmed that KCR Western Star FC fielded Nelitu Kapika Johaness, who was serving a suspension due to accumulated yellow cards.

The KWFA has since invoked Rule 58 (Dismissals) and ruled the match as a forfeiture. YW Fighters FC have been awarded three points and three goals, with the league standings set to be updated accordingly.

Despite losing today’s fixture against second-placed Kulisuka, Young Western Fighters FC now sit four points clear at the top of the table. KWFA has also urged KCR Western Star FC to strengthen its administrative compliance to avoid similar breaches in future matches.
