Nigerian Player’s Throat Slashed by a fan After Scoring Equaliser

A shocking incident occurred during a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match between Katsina United and Barau FC when Barau’s midfielder, Nana Abraham, was attacked by fans shortly after scoring an equalising goal.
The match, played in Katsina, saw the home side leading 1–0 before Abraham found the back of the net to level the score. Moments after his goal, chaos erupted as a group of home supporters invaded the pitch and assaulted the player. Reports indicate that Abraham sustained a deep neck injury during the violent attack.
Security officials quickly intervened to restore order, and the game was temporarily suspended as medical staff attended to the injured player. Abraham was later rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.
