Sekhukhune United have won the race to sign Namibian striker Bethuel Muzeu, beating AmaZulu FC, Stellenbosch FC, and Kruger United to his signature.

The 26-year-old forward arrived at OR Tambo International Airport from Windhoek on Sunday night. He has now officially joined Sekhukhune United as they prepare for the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.

Muzeu signed a two-year contract with the club, with an option to extend for one more year. He is joining Sekhukhune United as a free agent after Black Leopards were relegated from the Motsepe Foundation Championship to the ABC Motsepe League.

Despite his former team’s difficult season, Muzeu still performed well. He scored eight goals last season and also reached double figures in both the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons. His goal-scoring record made him one of the most wanted strikers in the league.

Sekhukhune United believe Muzeu will help improve their attack as they aim to compete for trophies in the new season. There are also reports that striker Bradley Grobler could leave the club, which makes Muzeu’s arrival even more important.

The striker has already joined the team’s pre-season camp and took part in medical checks on Monday in Pretoria at the Tshwane University of Technology.

He is training alongside other new signings, including Nyiko Mobbie, Athenkosi Mcaba, Givemore Khupe, Palelo Mafuyeke, and Samba O’Neil, as the club prepares under new head coach Cedric Kaze.
