Sweden Dominate Tunisia 5–1 in Commanding Performance Led by Isak and Ayari
Sweden delivered a powerful attacking display to secure a convincing 5–1 victory over Tunisia, with standout performances from Alexander Isak and Yasin Ayari in a match that quickly tilted in the hosts’ favour.
Sweden made a fast start and opened the scoring in the 7th minute when Ayari calmly finished to give the home side a 1–0 lead. The pressure continued, and in the 30th minute, Isak combined brilliantly with Viktor Gyökeres to double the advantage, showcasing Sweden’s fluid attacking movement.
Tunisia responded before the break through Omar Rekik, who pulled one back in the 43rd minute after a well-worked move involving Hannibal Mejbri, briefly giving the visitors hope at 2–1.
However, Sweden reasserted control in the second half. Gyökeres restored the two-goal cushion in the 59th minute, finishing off another assist from Isak, as the duo continued to torment the Tunisian defence.
As the game progressed, both teams made multiple changes, but Sweden’s dominance only grew. Mattias Svanberg added the fourth goal in the 84th minute, once again set up by Isak, who capped a sensational creative performance with multiple assists.
In stoppage time, Sweden put the finishing touch on a dominant outing when Ayari grabbed his second goal in the 90+6 minute, assisted by rising talent Lucas Bergvall, sealing an emphatic 5–1 scoreline.
Tunisia struggled to contain Sweden’s pace and movement throughout the match, while Sweden’s attacking trio of Isak, Gyökeres, and Ayari proved decisive in a performance that highlighted their growing chemistry and depth in the final third.
