KK United to Host Their Home Matches at Rundu Sports Stadium

KK United FC will temporarily host their home matches at the Rundu Sports Stadium after their own venue failed to meet the Namibia Football Association (NFA) requirements. The club had attempted to use the Nkurenkuru Sports Stadium as an alternative, but that facility was also rejected.

The decision follows a directive from the NEFD Executive Committee, which is enforcing NFA standards relating to stadium availability, field of play specifications and sanitary facilities. As a result, the Kavango West Region will not host First Division football for now.

Some staff members and supporters expressed disappointment with the ruling but acknowledged that playing in Rundu may still benefit the club. They noted that Rundu, one of the country’s largest towns, could draw bigger crowds and offer a supportive atmosphere for the team.

The NFA’s stance affects not only KK United FC but also other teams such as Kangweru Black Tops FC and Ntunguru, among others, who rely on facilities that currently fall short of the required standards.
