Cameroon have made history by winning the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations for the first time after defeating Malawi 3-0 in the 2026 final in Rabat, Morocco, on Sunday.

Marie Ngah Manga scored twice, while Naomi Ndjoah Eto added the other goal as Cameroon took a commanding 3-0 lead before half-time.

The triumph ends Cameroon’s long wait for the continental title. They had previously lost three WAFCON finals, in 2004, 2014 and 2016, all against Nigeria.

For Malawi, the final marked their first-ever appearance in the WAFCON final after a remarkable debut campaign.
