Teenager Allegedly Beaten to Death by Boyfriend as Police Hunt Suspect

Police in the Kavango West Region have launched a manhunt for a suspect accused of fatally assaulting his 18-year-old girlfriend in Wiwi Village, located in the Mpungu Constituency.
The deceased has been identified as Kaaitjie Sakaria, a resident of the village. The incident reportedly occurred at around 06h00 on Wednesday morning.
According to Kavango West Deputy Commissioner for Crime Investigations, Abner Agas, preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect allegedly attacked Sakaria with sticks, inflicting multiple injuries across her body. She died at the scene as a result of the assault.
The motive behind the killing has not yet been established.
Agas said the suspect, who is known to the police, fled after the incident and remains at large. Law enforcement officers are actively searching for him and efforts to bring him into custody are ongoing.
Police have notified the deceased’s next of kin, while investigations into the matter continue.
