Man Shot Following Argument at Katima Mulilo Nightclub

The Namibian Police in the Zambezi Region are investigating a case of attempted murder after a 29-year-old man was allegedly shot during an altercation at a nightclub in Katima Mulilo’s central business district in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
According to Zambezi Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Julia Sakuwa-Neo, the incident occurred at Club Africa following an argument between individuals at the establishment. The victim reportedly sustained gunshot wounds to his left arm and right leg.
Police have also opened additional cases of unlawful discharge of a firearm in a public place and common assault in connection with the incident.
Two Namibian men, aged 39 and 42, have been arrested and are expected to make their first court appearance on Wednesday.
The injured man was rushed to hospital for medical treatment and is reported to be recovering.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting are continuing.
