President of Namibia, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has arrived in Guangzhou for an official State Visit to the People’s Republic of China, scheduled from 5 to 11 July 2026, following an invitation from President Xi Jinping.

The visit comes as both Namibia and China continue to deepen their Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, which is rooted in long-standing diplomatic relations, mutual respect, and shared development goals. It is expected to further strengthen cooperation across political, economic, and development sectors.

During the visit, President Nandi-Ndaitwah will hold high-level bilateral talks with President Xi Jinping and engage with senior officials of the State Council. Her programme also includes meetings with provincial and municipal leaders in major Chinese regions, including Guangdong Province (covering Guangzhou and Shenzhen), as well as engagements in Beijing and Sichuan Province.

The discussions are expected to focus on expanding practical cooperation in areas such as trade, infrastructure development, and investment, with the aim of delivering concrete benefits to both nations.
