41-Year-Old Woman Arrested After Alleged Murder and Burning of Young Angolan Domestic Worker in Kavango West

Police in the Kavango West Region have arrested a 41-year-old Namibian woman in connection with the suspected murder of a 22-year-old Angolan national whose body was found at Mile 30 village in the Namagoro Constituency during the early hours of Saturday.
According to the police, the suspect allegedly attacked the young domestic worker inside her room using an unknown object before setting the room on fire. Authorities believe the fire may have been an attempt to conceal the alleged crime and destroy possible evidence.
The incident has led to the registration of cases of murder, arson and defeating or attempting to defeat the course of justice. Police are still assessing the extent of the damage caused by the fire.
The deceased woman’s next of kin have not yet been officially informed, while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
