Kahigunga Completes Move to UNAM FC
UNAM FC have strengthened their defence with the signing of 26-year-old centre-back Gianluca “Puxa” Kahigunga from African Stars FC as reported by Footy Namibia.
Kahigunga joins the university side after playing a key role in African Stars’ successful NPFL campaign, helping the club secure the league title and qualification for the CAF Champions League.
His move to UNAM FC comes as the club prepares for continental football after winning the 2026 NFA Cup, which earned them a place in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Kahigunga is expected to fill the defensive position vacated by Bonifasius, who recently moved in the opposite direction to join African Stars FC.
The defender’s arrival adds experience and depth to a UNAM FC squad that will compete on both the domestic and continental stages in the upcoming season.
