Okahandja United Beat African Stars to Win Preseason Tournament
Okahandja United FC were crowned champions of the four-team preseason tournament after defeating African Stars FC 3–2 in an entertaining final.
The tournament featured four Namibia Premier Football League sides: Okahandja United FC, African Stars FC, FC Ongos and Bucks Buccaneers FC, with the teams using the competition as part of their preparations for the upcoming season.
African Stars secured their place in the final after overcoming FC Ongos in the semi-final, while Okahandja United booked their spot after defeating Bucks Buccaneers on penalties.
The final produced five goals, with Okahandja United eventually edging African Stars 3–2 to lift the tournament trophy and complete an encouraging preseason campaign.
For African Stars, the tournament provided valuable preparation ahead of their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup preliminary-round campaign, where they will represent Namibia on the continental stage.
