Namibian rapper and award-winning artist Jericho has once again captured public attention—this time not through music, but through a powerful and emotional Facebook post reflecting on his battle with drug addiction and the impact it had on his daughter.

In the heartfelt message, Jericho shared a side-by-side photo comparison sent to him by his daughter. The first image, taken in 2022, shows him during his darkest days of drug and alcohol abuse. The second, from 2023, captures him in his first year of recovery.

“MY DAUGHTER SEND ME THIS 2 PICS AND SAID SHE IS VERY PROUD OF ME,” Jericho wrote in all caps, expressing both pride and reflection.

He went on to reveal how his daughter witnessed both the lowest and most inspiring phases of his life, emphasizing the deep emotional impact that parents’ actions can have on their children.

“The Affect it has on our kids with what we do in front of them, plays a massive role in raising our kids,” he wrote. “This current generation is lost because of my Generation… We failed our kids… 80%.”

Jericho’s raw honesty has resonated with many fans and followers, sparking conversations about generational responsibility, drug abuse, and the importance of role models in children’s lives.

Once known for his tough street persona, Jericho has increasingly used his platform to raise awareness around mental health and recovery. His latest post is seen as a courageous step in owning his past and inspiring others to seek healing.

As he continues his journey of sobriety and self-improvement, fans across Namibia have rallied behind the musician, praising his transparency and commitment to becoming a better father and role model.

Jericho ended his post with a call for collective accountability: “Let’s make right.”
