Céline Dion is preparing to return to the stage this weekend, marking a major moment in her career after several years away from live performances because of her health struggles.

The Canadian music star will begin her highly anticipated Paris residency on September 12 at Paris La Défense Arena, with the concert series running through October. Additional performances are scheduled for 2027 following strong demand from fans.

Dion stepped away from regular performances after revealing in 2022 that she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological condition that has caused severe muscle stiffness and spasms.

Her health battle was later shown in the 2024 documentary I Am: Céline Dion, which gave fans a closer look at the challenges she faced while working to regain control of her voice and physical strength.

Despite the difficulties, Dion continued working towards a return to the stage. She made a highly praised appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where she performed from the Eiffel Tower.

Her upcoming Paris concerts will feature some of her biggest songs in both English and French. The return has already created huge excitement, with fans gathering in Paris ahead of the opening show.

For Dion, the Paris residency represents more than another concert series. It marks a new chapter in her career after years of dealing with a condition that forced her to step away from one of the biggest parts of her life.
