A man aged 39 has been arrested in the Zambezi region for allegedly forcing his wife to have sex against her will.
The incident is said to have happened on 10 December 2024, at the couple’s home in the Kaliyangile area. Police say the man also threatened to kill his wife during the incident.
Inspector Kisco Sitali, the regional police spokesperson, confirmed the arrest. He said the suspect is also facing a separate charge for making threats.
“The man is now in police custody, and investigations are still continuing,” said Sitali.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Katima Mulilo Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
