Namibia suffered a heavy 6–0 defeat to Russia in their international friendly in Yekaterinburg on Saturday, with the hosts producing a dominant second-half display to secure a convincing victory.

Russia took the lead shortly before half-time when Lechi Sadulaev found the net in the 37th minute, sending the hosts into the break with a 1–0 advantage.

The second half saw Russia take complete control of the match. Danil Prutsev doubled the lead in the 54th minute before Konstantin Tyukavin made it 3–0 11 minutes later.

Russia continued to threaten Namibia’s defence as the match entered its final stages. Maksim Glushenkov added a fourth in the 84th minute, while Maksim Petrov scored three minutes later to put the hosts five goals ahead.

Namibia’s difficult evening was completed in stoppage time when defender Kamaijanda Ndisiro turned the ball into his own net in the 92nd minute, sealing Russia’s 6–0 victory.
